Turkey Leftovers

November 29th, 2009

As promised, here is a picture of my kitchen after the Thanksgiving blowout. A few of us who posted pictures of our pristinely clean kitchens for The Kitchen Reveal agreed to post pictures of what our kitchens normally look like after marathon cooking sessions. The good news is that I had lots of help getting everything cleaned up.

We are in Disney World right now with our family. There are six adults and one 3 1/2 year old Granddaughter. Both sets of Grandparents and her Parents are treating her to four days of fantasy and breakfast with the Princesses. Do you think this child may be just a little overindulged? Nah, I don’t think so.
Since I am not doing any cooking for a while, I will leave you with a recipe that I posted earlier which is a good use for turkey leftovers. We fixed it before we left for Orlando and because it is a Mexican dish it doesn’t feel like leftovers. Go here for delicious Chicken (or in this case turkey) Chilaquiles.

  1. I forgot to take a picture, but my kitchen looks just about like yours! Have fun with your family.

Thanks for the left over recipe, looks delicious! My kitchen looked like that too! Wish I would have taken photos! I had some help, but not what I had wished for. Probably my fault, as while I am cooking, I don’t want any help!

Penny, that doesn’t look so bad. I’m embarrassed to post mine. The remains of our day were not pretty 🙂 Have a wonderful time in Orlando. Hugs…Mary

Love it! Hope you’re having a fabulous time at Disney 😀 Chilaquiles are one of my favorite things in the world…we actually ate them for dinner on our wedding night 😀

Well, if I had photographed my sister’s kitchen, it would have made yours look like Martha Stewart revisited. We had 13 people here, her kitchen is quite small and she is a phenomenal cook who makes absolutely everything from scratch. Fortunately, there were plenty of helping hands at the end of the meal!

Hope you had fun at Disney World!

  6. Hello! Bonjour!

What a nice marathon cooking session in your beautiful kitchen… with black and white curtains!

You are lucky to be in Disney Word with your family. We are suppose to be there during the next holidays. My 2 childrens (13 and 15) will really like it.

Do you know where is the best place in town near of Disney… not too expensive? Thank you for your answer, Penny.

    Have a nice Sunday!

Psitt: Excuse my bad english… I’m french.

  7. Penny… a kitchen that looks like that is a kitchen that is where the heart of the family resides. By the looks of the ‘clean plates’ ~ you prepared a good meal.

Enjoy the wondrous days with your granddaughter and all those who are there with you. Three & half is a joyous exciting age!

Our granddaughter is 3-1/2, too and she loves all the Disney princesses. If you’re anything like me, *you* are having as much fun watching her as she’s having!

  9. What fun to have the family at the world of THE mouse! Party like a rock star and see you in a week!

  10. Lynda says:

Glad you had a good Thanksgiving- have fun this week!

  11. Katy ~ says:

Disneyland is tons of fun; I know the little one will be filled with awe and wonder the whole time!

Add cats to the picture, and my kitchen looked a lot like yours, grins, only not so “organized.”
